The league has been running for a few years now and has become quite established. It is open to teams made up from village people and only has one venue - you guessed it the Chalk & Cheese. It is a very friendly league with the emphasis on having a fun night rather than serious competition. It is due to start next Monday 6/10/03 and will run through to next May. Mixed in with the league are a couple of cup matches - (a pairs competition plus a knock out competition with a cup awarded in memory of the late Kenny Carver). Money is raised from match fees during the year which goes towards putting on a presentation at the end of the season plus donations towards local charities / youth groups.
