Fossils of the Jurassic Coast

11/11/2011 - 13/11/2011

Fill your weekend with fossil collecting and study. Friday evening will set the scene covering the importance of the fossils that come from the coast and the significance of the Jurassic Coast. One day will be spent scouring the beaches with an opportunity to visit the famous Horn Park Quarry. Saturday evening will be a hands on session with fossils from the coast - identification, classification and their importance to geological study. The second day will take you further afield where younger Jurassic rocks have a tale or two to tell.

Yoga Retreat

11/11/2011 - 13/11/2011

Seize the chance to regroup and recharge in the nurturing and inspiring environment of Kingcombe. Yoga is an ancient practice originating in India and is about 5000 years old. The word yoga comes from the sanskrit word ‘yuj’ which means ‘to unite or integrate’, so in other words yoga is about integration of all the different aspects of being human; the physical, mental and the emotional. Yoga practice is for everybody, it can be tailored to the individual needs of a person or group. Part of the Yoga practice is to feel one’s own limitations and work with that.
