The History and Ecology of Woodlands

This will be a long weekend of detective work and you will spend as much of it as possible out of doors, examining the different kinds of evidence which provide clues to the history of our woodlands.
You shall visit areas of ancient woodland in the Kingcombe valley and other sites within easy driving distance.
Evening lectures and early documents and maps will add support to what you see during the day.
