Calligraphy: Characters & Colour

The course will include experimenting with one or more of the following scripts: italic, foundational hand, uncial, Roman and italic capitals, Carolingian. These scripts will be used in pieces of work with short texts, incorporating colour in the pen and background as appropriate. There will be plenty of tutor demonstration and individual help throughout the weekend. Beginners and improvers will be taught basic skills and the more experienced calligraphers can work on a new skill.
