Summer Steam Trains through maiden Newton Station
During the summer months, Steam Train enthusiasts will be able to see a number of services pass through the Maiden Newton station en-route to Weymouth or return journey to Bath and Bristol.
In 2011
The Weymouth Seaside Express will be passing through Maiden Newton station every Sunday from 17th July until 11th September 2011. Recently, it has stopped in the station for around 5 minutes allowing you to grab some pictures before it heads off on it's return journey to Bristol Temple Meads.
On occassions, a supporting locomotive for The Dorset Coast Express may also be pass through the station. This Steam service runs from London Victoria to Weymouth, most Tuesdays throughout July, August and on 6th and 13th September.
